Car Festival, known as Rath Yatra is the most all encompassing celebration of Odisha. It is the most seasoned Rath Yatra which is right around 10-11 century back and it’s described in Brahma Puran, Padma Puran, and Skanda Puran and Kapil Samhita. This celebration starts from the second day of the brilliant portion of Asadha which falls in June or July consistently. The chariot of Lord Jagannath is known as Nandighosha, has 16 wheels, 13.5 mtrs high and 10.52 Sq Mtrs measurements with red and yellow garments, Lord Balabhadra’s chariot name is Taladhwaja, has 14 wheels 13.2 Mtrs high and 10.06 Sq Mtrs measurements with red and blue dress and the last chariot is for Lord Subhadra known as Debadalana has 12 wheels 12.9 Mtrs high and 9.6 Sq Mtrs measurements with red and dark attire.
